I used to have one, but it's too difficult for me to maintain it AND write all the code, docs, etc. ;)

What's did you find difficult about the installation?
Have you looked through the install guide?
http://nms.gdd.net/index.php/Install_Guide_for_LogZilla_v3.0

If there's something I can do to make it easier, please let me know :)

I could provide an OVF appliance ((I work with VirtualBox, not VMware)) which from what I read, will work fine in VMware.

If you're interested.  ;)

I'll probably get around to making it next week. We've had a few unexpected weather anomalies blow through the past week, so I have a couple things I need to get taken care of before I can sit down and make the image.

It's on its way though, I promise!

I'll be releasing an update soon (next week or two) if you would like to wait. If not, I'm going to try and include an upgrade procedure with this release.

I'll go ahead and wait, and put the final touches on the Gentoo guide. Once the VMware image is up, I'll start documenting an OpenSolaris installation in the same style as my Gentoo guide.

The image is now available for download. Check the wiki page here:
http://nms.gdd.net/index.php/Virtualizing_Logzilla

There should be a second direct download server online by the end of the week. Until then, you can either use the torrent file which is hosted on linux tracker ((the currently recommended method)), or directly download it from me. Please note that a DDL from me will probably take you somewhere in the range of 2-3 hours, as opposed to BitTorrent, which I already have a network of 3+ seeds and growing, and will take an hour or less.

The Second Direct Download Link is now active. I recommend you use that for all non-bittorrent downloads.

It's Ubuntu - there is no root password. Just login as the regular user and type "sudo su -" (then use that user's password) to become root.
